Two killed, one injured in early morning crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An accident just after midnight Tuesday morning killed two people and injured another on Atlantic Boulevard.

The crash happened at Professional Drive when police say a station wagon pulled out in front of a SUV.

The couple in the SUV was headed eastbound on Atlantic Boulevard at the time. Both the man and woman in the vehicle were killed.

The driver of the station wagon was transported to U.F. & Shands Jacksonville with minor injuries.

The accident closed down the road for about seven hours throughout the morning, but it is now back open.

The identities of the victims have not been released.
