Two men robbed and carjacked at gunpoint on the Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is looking for two men accused in an armed carjacking on the Westside.

It happened on Flamingo Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say two men were driving down Flamingo Avenue when they stopped to talk to two people walking in the roadway.

The group was then approached by two men. One of the men was wearing a mask.

The men in the car told investigators the men who approached them demanded that they get out of the car, empty their pockets and walk down the street.

The men fled in the victims's car.

The victims describe the alleged carjackers as being taller than 5'10."

Investigators have located the car that was taken. The accused carjackers are still on the run.
