UNF hosts Military College Ready Boot Camp

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida wants to help vets make an easy transition from military to college life. So they teamed up with Jacksonville University and Florida State College at Jacksonville to create a boot camp.

But there's no push ups at this boot camp. It's about pushing pencils.

The Military College Ready Boot Camp was a three-day session aimed to help active duty, veterans and their families decide which college to attend and what field they would excel in.

The class included an assessment and also included information about many other military benefits, including financial planning.
