UNF looks to improve campus safety
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida says it is working on a plan to increase safety after a student exposed possible loopholes in access systems in 2011.
Since the incident, campus officials say they have been working to select and purchase a new access control system in residence halls.
A spokesperson for the university tells Action News that they always looking for ways to improve campus safety by keeping on top of the latest technology.
UNF hopes to have a select a vendor and start installation of the new entrance system by July 1.
