TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden is in Florida to talk about affordable higher education.

Biden will appear Monday at Florida State University as part of a three-state swing. The Tallahassee Democrat reports the event is limited to FSU students, faculty and staff.

A report from his office says he'll discuss access and affordability in higher education.

Biden will also be attending a campaign fundraiser reception for the Obama Victory Fund 2012. The Democrat reports that contributions are between $100 for a ticket and $5,000 for a private reception.

Republican National Committee spokesman Matt Connelly told the newspaper that Biden's visit "won't change the fact that President Obama has failed to make college more affordable for Florida's students."
