BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- A pastor in Brunswick known for helping ex-cons get back on track with jobs is praying for justice after one of his employees was severely beaten.

Pastor Kenneth Adkins' church-run barbershop was victimized by the kind of people they look to help.

Stylez & Cuts in Brunswick is open 24 hours a day to accommodate everyone, but early Wednesday morning their kindness was taken for granted, after one of their employees was allegedly held up by two gunmen.

"He came running with his mask on and a gun. Frank hit him and began to beat him, get the best of it, and wrestle over the gun. Next thing he knew he was getting hit in the head with a steel pipe," said Adkins.

Adkins runs the barbershop and Greater Dimensions Christian Fellowship next door. He tells Action News a good Samaritan tried to intervene but was hit by the suspect's car.

"He said he looked up and the car was coming at him, and luckily he was not killed," said Pastor Adkins.

Now police are looking for two suspects, Will Wimbley and Christopher Sapp, who we found out could still be armed -- an unsettling feeling for the victim who was just getting his own life back on track.

"Here's a guy that believed in my words and came to my church to get his life together. We gave him a job, he no longer sells drugs, he no longer does the bad things, he does it the right way," said Adkins.

Adkins tells Action News he's offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of these two suspects. If you have any information call Glynn County police at 912-554-7802.

Maybe they could hire George Zimmerman to work security.
