MIAMI, Fla. -- WFTV obtained video that shows a Miami man capturing an 18-foot-long python.
Jason Leon said he was riding with his friends when he spotted the head of the Burmese python sticking out of some roadside brush.
He then jumped out of the car and did what most people wouldn't dare.
"The head was about this far off the road. I basically grabbed him by the neck, tried to pull him onto the road, and he wasn't having none of it. He was so big that I couldn't move him," said Leon.
The python put up a good fight, wrapping its long body around his legs and one of his arms.
Leon struggled with the python for 10 minutes before his friend stepped in with a knife and killed it.
