Vigil planned for 5-Year anniversary of the disappearance of HaLeigh Cummings
SATSUMA, Fla. -- It's been five years since anyone has seen little HaLeigh's Cummings. The 5-year-old disappeared in Satsuma in 2009.
Misty Croslin, HaLeigh's babysitter and her father's then-girlfriend told police the little girl disappeared from her bed in the middle of the night. She has not been seen since. Police say they have found very few clues in her disappearance.
Monday, family and friends will hold a vigil for HaLeigh. The vigil will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Browning Pearce Elementary School. The school is located at 100 Bear Boulevard in San Mateo. It is open to the public.
The family says they want to hold the vigil to pray together for HaLeigh's safe return. A tree in Haleigh's honor was planted at the school last year and a plaque for HaLeigh's tree will be placed during the vigil.
