VyStar plans expansion into Palatka High School
PALATKA, Fla. -- VyStar Credit Union is planning on opening a branch in Palatka High School.
The announcement was made in front of the Putnam County School Board during this week's meeting.
VyStar will fund the more than $150,000 build-out and pay students to work at the campus branch.
Superintendent Phyllis Criswell said the plan presented by VyStar would benefit the students of Putnam County.
Plans for the credit union are expected to be approved at the school board meeting.
If approved, Putnam County would join a growing list of Northeast Florida counties with in-school credit unions.
