JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Warm temperatures will continue through Thursday with afternoon temperatures jumping into the mid 80s. Offshore winds will allow the beaches to hit 80 degrees as well. A weak cool front will move into the area by late afternoon possibly triggering an isolated shower but most places will stay dry. The front will cause a wind shift to onshore -- from the east/northeast -- Friday bringing cooler temperatures, especially to the beaches where highs will only be in the low to mid 70s versus upper 70s to around 80 inland. The onshore winds will increase the rip current risk Friday through the weekend.
