Weather conditions postpone Palm Coast controlled burn
Palm Coast, Fla. -- The weather forecast for high winds on Monday forced the City of Palm Coast to cancel a planned controlled burn.
Prescribed burns help manage forest density and remove potential fuel for wildfires.
No word on when the controlled burn will be rescheduled for.
Year-to-date, nearly 600 wildfires have burned over 10,000 acres across the state.
