JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Severe weather across the deep South never made it here to the First Coast. We'll still monitor the cold front in the South, because it will be our weather maker this week.
Out ahead of that front...a warm Monday! Highs will top out around 80 degrees in Duval County. Look for scattered clouds mixed with some sun. That front moves south later Monday night and Tuesday morning. We can expect a few showers as the front moves through.
Tuesday will be cooler with highs mainly in the upper 60s. It will stay unsettled through at least Wednesday as the front hangs around. A few showers may occur on Tuesday, but the best chance for rain is late Wednesday as the front moves back to the north as a warm front.
Skies will finally clear on Thursday. Another, stronger cold front will push temperatures below normal for the weekend.
