Westside manufacturer to lay off 133 workers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A manufacturer of envelopes and other print objects is planning to lay off 133 workers between April 25 and May 30, documents obtained by Action News show.

Cenveo Corporation submitted the notice of the change of employment on Monday to the state.

The company operates a manufactoring facility off of West 1st Street on Jacksonville's Westside.

Action News reached out to Cenveo for comment but have not heard back from the company.

According to Cenveo’s website, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company employs around 8,400 worldwide.

I worked 5 years for swisher international when obama was elected.he then passed a historic tobacco tax that laid off hundreds of us.I then went to texas and worked on envelope machinery ,the company in texas soon after announced I came back home to Jacksonville to work for cenveo.I have worked 27 years in manufacturing.the state of leadership is totally hopeless in this country right now and the workers and families are paying the price.I am done with manufacturing
