JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The St. Johns River ferry is out of commission, just two weeks before Jaxport is set to turn it over to the ferry commission. But who will get stuck with the repair bill?

It's part the heritage of Jacksonville. Many say its not worth it to keep it around but there are some scenarios and disasters where having a working ferry would be very important for the citizens of the state. Keep that in mind keeping it repaired and working serves as heritage attaction and should something happen where people were required to use it say like losing a key bridge to an island that people inhabit in fla due to disasters it could come in handy then.
