JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office says Republican Candidates appear on this year's ballot ahead of the Democrats because of a state statute. It says the winning party in the last Gubernatorial race will lead on the ballot in the November 6 General Election. Because Republican Rick Scott won the last Governor's race, Republicans are listed first. That's why the sitting President's name, as well as other Democrats on the ballot, are listed second.Early voting begins Saturday, October 27th. and runs through November 3rd.
