JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Widely scattered locally heavy storms will occur this evening as cooler pushed out from afternoon storms well west of Jacksonville collides with the inland-moving sea breeze. A more concentrated area of storms from the north side of Jacksonville north near I-95 into Nassau County and Camden County will produce a period of very heavy rain, gusty winds, some hail and considerable lightning. These storms might try to build south into Duval County through the early evening. Otherwise....the night will be partly cloudy, warm and humid with lows in the 70s. Wednesday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with highs near 90 degrees with scattered afternoon thunderstorms redeveloping. Storms will have a tendency to increase in coverage each day through the rest of this week. Send weather photos & video ** here
