JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The 1st Annual Wild Night for Wildlife party is happening Thursday night on October 25th from 6pm to 11pm and it's all to benefit the Wildlife Rescue Coalition.
The Wildlife Rescue Coalition takes in over 1,000 orphaned, abandoned and injured local wildlife each year. There are no paid employees at the center. All of the work is done by volunteers that sacrifice a lot to take care of all these animals and re-release them back into the wild.
The costume party is great way for the community to have fun while getting involved in helping the local nonprofit organization.
DJ Steadman Pottinger is donating his time for the music, light and smoke effects. A fire dancer is donating his time for a performance. There will be a costume contest and a silent auction. Tickets are $40 and that includes two drink tickets, food and dessert. Costumes are requested but not required.
