Wildfires burning in Nassau County

YULEE, Fla.  -- A 2-acre brush fire is burning in a residential area of Yulee on Harts Road.

According to Division of Forestry, it started as a yard fire after two propane tanks exploded. Nearby residence were evacuated due to smoke.

Fire officials will be monitoring the fire, most of which is in the area of U.S. 17 and Regulas Way/Radio Road.

The fire is under control but FHP sent out a smoke advisory because the fire was so close to U.S. 17 and there is still smoke in the area. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
