JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A lake wind advisory is in effect until 6 PM for southwest winds at 20 mph and gusts to 30 mph.

A cold front moves into Jacksonville around midnight tonight. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening and tonight. Rain will persist from time to time on Saturday.

Temperatures are soaring to near record levels Friday afternoon. Record high in Jacksonville is 92 degrees. If we make it to 90 degrees, it'll be the first 90-degree reading of 2013.

Much cooler air is on the way. Highs on Saturday will only reach the mid 60s.

It'll stay mostly cloudy all weekend with the onshore winds picking up on Sunday. Beach breezes will fall in the range of 10 to 20 mph
