PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- The Putnam County woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband several times during a fight has now been formally charged.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office released the indictment Friday.  Ivory Harris, 56, faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of her husband Clark Harris.

Harris was found stabbed at a home in the 3800 block of St. Johns Avenue in Palatka.

According to a police report obtained by Action News, Harris was stabbed 16 times in the face, torso, shoulder, arm, hands, abdomen and thigh with a knife believed to be 6 inches long.

Investigators say the attack happened during a fight between the couple in mid-April.
