JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You can still see remnants of a fight that turned deadly in this apartment home in west Jacksonville.

"I came out of my room and I saw her on the floor in a pool of blood. I'm like what just happened," said roommate Tony Mills.

Tony Mills and Lakeesha Everson have lived in this three-bedroom apartment with 43-year-old Lowanna McQuay and 34-year-old Lori Wynn for the past two months.
They says it's been nothing but trouble since the lesbian couple moved in.

Mills said, "One minute it was like lovey dovey and the next few seconds they was fussing, arguing, bickering."

"I didn't portray neither one of them as being bad people, but you never know what kind of skeletons people got in their closet," says Everson. And most times, they say it was physical.

But that all ended Thursday night. Mills was home at the time. He said it started on the front porch. McQuay broke a beer bottle against the steps, and clutching the makeshift weapon, started stabbing Wynn in the neck with the bottle.

Wynn ran back to the couple's bedroom and then to the kitchen, trying to get away from McQuay. She was unable to. And according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, she was stabbed 34 times.

Everson said, "they brought her out on a stretcher and she was lifeless. Everybody pretty much knew she was dead." And they say even though it's been less than 24 hours and it's still fresh in their mind, it's something they'll never forget. "We scrubbed and scrubbed and her blood is still coming up through the floor," said Mills.

Everson says, "God knows she was a beautiful soul. She never intended to hurt anybody." Roommates say McQuay changed her clothes and started walking down the road. But police found her a block away from the home, with blood stains on her pants and side of her face.
