Woman found badly burned on Arlington Expressway dies

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman who caught fire on the Arlington Expressway has died.

Mary Ann Gill, 58, died from her injuries after being rescued by a woman driving by in her car.

Melissa Settles told police she saw a woman on the ground about 15 feet from the woods with her back on fire. A portion of the woods was also on fire.

Settles ran to help her when JFRD crews arrived to extinguish the fires.

The woman later died at UF & Shands Hospital in Jacksonville.

Police say no foul play is suspected.
