JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested a man suspected of stabbing a woman to death in the Mandarin area.
According to investigators, they received a call around 7 p.m. from the clerk of a nearby convenience store. JSO says the clerk placed the call at the request of the suspect who later told police he may have harmed his girlfriend.
The woman, who is in her 50s, was found inside a home on the 3800 block of Millpoint Drive with stab wounds.
It is still unclear if anyone else was inside the home at the time of the incident. According to detectives, alcohol may have been involved.
The suspect was transported to JSO for further questioning.
