JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman has been sentenced to a year in prison in the death of a Baker County pastor.

Holly Leeanna King, 24, pleaded no contest on Tuesday at her sentencing hearing for driving without a license the night the 32-year-old Todd Annis was killed in September 2011.

Action News has learned that King had seven other traffic offenses in Duval County before the death of Annis. Those include speeding and careless driving.

People continue to drive w/o a license, suspended license, have multiple traffic infractions, no insurance, etc and HARM and even KILL other people who are innocent and/or abiding by the laws of the road/state. These offenders KNOW they can continue to hop in a car and endanger people because even when they are caught, nothing substantial is done to deter them from doing it again. Those injured or killed by these thoughtless and reckless people pay with their life or live the rest of their lives with physical pain and associated issues on a daily basis for years or life - yet time after time we read that even when cited multiple times, they get back on the road illegally >:( One year for the death of someone after having multiple traffic citations - but more importantly a suspended license - I just don't see the justice ...
