Woman guilty of slashing store workers with box cutters
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A jury needed only 25 minutes to find a woman guilty of robbery.
The jury convicted 34-year-old Erna McFadden of Armed Robbery, and she pleaded to two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
Police say McFadden tried to steal some items from a CVS store in Mandarin when two managers confronted her at the door.
McFadden pulled a box cutter from her purse and slashed the two managers across their faces. The woman, according to police, denied she robbed the CVS when police pulled her over. Authorities found the stolen items from the CVS and from other stores across the area in her car.
She faces life in prison for Armed Robbery and up to 60 years in prison for the two Aggravated Battery charges. A sentencing date will be set on August 27.
