Woman stabbed to death with beer bottle

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman was stabbed to death on the westside of the city during a fight. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said it happened on West State Street about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Detectives said the attacker was the woman's female lover. They say the pair were having an argument, when one took a broken beer bottle and stabbed the other. The victim was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The suspect is in police custody and is being questioned. Action News is also told the women lived among several other roommates who were home when it happened. JSO said it will release more information about the victim and the suspected attacker tomorrow.
