Woman who died in Southside fire identified
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman killed in a house fire earlier this week has been identified.
Police say Doris Gale Barie, 87, died in Monday night's fire in The Woods subdivision.
Her death has been ruled undetermined.
Barie, according to her obituary, worked as a librarian for UNF for more than 20 years.
Her funeral is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. At St. Paul's Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach.
The fire caused more than $175,000 worth of damage to Barie's residence.
