Women arrested on human trafficking charges
MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WFTV) - Marion County authorities said they arrested two women on charges of human trafficking.
Melissa Rodriguez, 41, and Ysbette Joseph, 31, were arrested during a sting operation, authorities said.
Investigators said the women agreed to sell at least three young women between the ages of 17 and 23.
Authorities said a down payment for the purchase of at least three young illegal females was paid in cash to the two by undercover officials during the investigation.
Rodriguez and Joseph were booked into the Marion County Jail.
