JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Some women are fired up and on a mission. They gathered at the Duval County Republican Headquarters today with the same goal: elect Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States.
"These women are out recruiting other women. It is the easiest campaign I have ever worked for. The campaign is smart. The candidate is on message," Cindy Graves with the Florida Federation of Republican Women said.
Women for Mitt is a grassroots movement that just launched. It includes all ages...all backgrounds and all races. Graves is one of the forefront leaders. She stands for Romney because of the the women-related issues she says are too big to be ignored. So does Chelsi Henry.
"Women are going to be the major components that's going to help this election. It's the women, the single moms, the women without jobs...just women who are trying to feed their families," she said.
Romney has been the target of attack ads...but so has President Obama. The back and forth is expected to intensify as we get closer to the election...which is why Henry says do your homework.
"As you're looking at these ads, looking at different things back and forth in the media....you do some research. This is the time for you to take a stand. for you to take a stand and see what these candidates stand for," she said.
With the Republican National Convention in Tampa...and several campaign stops around the state...all eyes are on Florida.
Henry, Graves and the rest of Women for Mitt say they'll be here for the ride...and won't stop until their side is victorious.
"It's a great time to be a woman in politics in Florida and we're going to win," Graves said with a smile.
