JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an employee at the Julington Creek Marina.

Police received a call around 7:20 p.m., Saturday evening from another employee at the marina that a middle aged man was unresponsive in the water. When rescue crews arrived, they found the man near the docks.

He was pronounced dead on scene and police detectives tell Action News it will be up to the Medical Examiner to determine how he died. Right now police aren't sure if he fell into the water from the dock or a boat. We have learned the man does own a boat at the marina.

His name is not being released pending family notification. But police confirm he is from the local area.

Foul play is not suspected in this case.
