Wrong-way driver had valid license despite convictions

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Jimmy Carracter had a lengthy list of DUIs long before crashing while driving the wrong way on Interstate 95. Action News did some digging and found that he had four previous DUI charges, one landing him in jail for nearly a year.

Is any of this really a news story? An alcoholic and drug using habitual law breaker ends up dead behind the wheel. What part of this is a surprise? This is actually what should happen, but the problem is that innocent people are endangered.

ya simply cain't fix stupid !!! ifin ya put him in a cage for 10 years each time,, odds are he won't learn !!! padgett is correct & time has long since past when the terms for this crime must be severely increased,, to reflect societies demands to be safe from these fools !!! thankfully he only killed hisself & we hope the other drivers are ok ???

He was "driving the same kind of car used in other wrecks"...ban "assault cars"!!!
