Wrong-way driver was drunk at time of fatal crash
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man killed in a wrong-way crash on I-95 had a blood alcohol level more than 3 times the legal limit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Jimmy Carracter, 46, died when he crashed into two other vehicles on I-95 near Emerson on the day after Christmas last December.
Authorities say he had a blood alcohol level of 0.28. The legal limit in Florida is 0.08.
One other driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
