JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The mother of a slain Metro PCS clerk, says a YouTube video tribute to her daughter is helping her pull through.

The video is how Darlene Farah wants her 20-year-old daughter, Shelby Farah, to be remembered.

"Shelby touched a lot of lives in the community," said Darlene Farah.

For the second day in a row, Farah has been waiting on the steps of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office for an arrest in her daughter's case.

On Tuesday, she was joined by her son and some of her daughter's friends. They've set up a picture of Shelby Farah, along with a rosary and candle. They've vowed to stay there until her killer is brought to justice.

"His face was the last face Shelby saw. I want my face to be the first face he sees when they bring him in," said Farah.

Mayor Alvin Brown, who worked with Shelby Farah when she volunteered in his campaign, released a statement to Action News:

“Shelby’s death is a tragedy for our entire community. I stand by her family. I pray for justice and I am committed to help any way I can. It was a great honor for me to have Shelby as a volunteer on my first mayoral campaign to see first-hand her enthusiasm about Jacksonville’s future. As our community heals, I ask that we all reflect on a life of hard work, mentoring and dedication to others. Just as Shelby sought to lead by example in all she did, it’s important for everyone to take steps that encourage peace, understanding and goodwill so that no other family has to experience such a hardship.”

On Sunday, police released surveillance video showing the suspected gunman but still no arrests have been made.

"I'm speaking directly to his family right now, if he has a sister an aunt or a mother. I want you all to put yourself in my shoes," said Farah.

Shelby Farah's friends will be organizing a vigil sometime this week. Her Metro PCS co-workers will be holding a gathering tomorrow at the Metro PCS headquarters in the Southside.

If you have any information that could lead police to an arrest, call CrimeStoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
