Young auto burglary suspects caught

LAKE CITY, Fla. -- Two teens were arrested and charged with auto burglary after they were allegedly caught in the act.

At 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, police say a woman walked outside her home on Southeast Dade Avenue and found two unknown males sitting inside her vehicle, which was left unlocked. She confronted the suspects who then took off running from the car. The victim followed them.

Both were able to get away from the victim. They were caught a short time later by police. The stolen items were immediately recovered.

Brandon Casagrand, 18, and a 16 year old were arrested and booked into the Columbia County Detention Center for burglary to a vehicle.
