JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...in just about every store.

In anticipation of the big morning, parents, co-workers and loved ones alike can be found in search of the hottest items. Take Kim Susice who's trying to track down Beats by Dre headphones in a certain color.

"That's the pressure. It's not going to be any good if it's not the name brand that you want," she explained.

Susice isn't the only one trying her luck at HH Gregg. The retailer hasn't been able to keep iPads, Kindles and Galaxy by Samsung tablets on the shelves.

"There's $70 tablets all the way up to $1,000 tablets. Tablets, tablets, tablets," Jonathan O'Donnell said.

Some items are so in demand, sold out signs are common. The biggest surprise to O'Donnell, though...are the number of people willing to shell out the big bucks.

"This year, 80-inch TVs, 90-inch TVs, 60-inch TVs, 70-inch TVs. All flying off the shelves."

"These aren't cheap?," we asked.

"No, they're not. Probably average price $2,500 all the way up to 10,000 bucks and they're flying out."

When it comes to toys, some of the must-haves include the Furby, Tabeo, Doc McStuffins "time for your check up" doll, Barbie Puppy Play Park and Barbie Doll Play set, Spot It, and a break-dancing Mickey Mouse.

We know some of these items are hard to track down. O'Donnell says the stores will help you out. Call ahead to make sure the item you want is available. If not, they'll help you track it down.

Susice says she has her own strategy.

"I think probably some Internet shopping or just getting on the website to see the availability," she suggested.

A number of stores plan on staying open late to accommodate shoppers. Target, for example, won't close until midnight on the 22nd.
