ORLANDO, Fla. (WFTV) -- Seven months after a not guilty verdict in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman finally broke his silence.

Zimmerman spoke with the Spanish language network Univision over the weekend about his life and his family.

Speaking in Spanish, Zimmerman said he wants to go back to school and possibly become a lawyer.

He also said he wears a bulletproof vest in public and is always armed.

When asked if he plans to use his guns, Zimmerman's answer was definitive. In Spanish, he said he's more likely to use a weapon now than he was before he shot and killed Martin in February 2012.

Zimmerman said several people have threatened his life and if people know he's armed, he believes they'll be less likely to attack him.

Zimmerman said he sat down for the interview to close this chapter of his life.
