Zimmerman's father takes stand in murder trial
SANFORD, Fla. (AP) -- George Zimmerman's father has taken the witness stand as defense attorneys are winding down their presentation in his second-degree murder trial.
Robert Zimmerman Sr. was called to the witness stand Wednesday to testify that it's his son's voice screaming on a 911 call that captured the fight between Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman's mother was the first witness called in the defense's case. She also testified her son's voice was yelling for help on the 911 call.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder. He is pleading not guilty, claiming self-defense.
