JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Florida Amber Alert has been canceled for Denise Hernandez, a two-year-old Hispanic female.

Hernandez was last seen in Immokalee, Fla.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement would only say she's been found in a field near where she disappeared.

The Amber Alert notification apparently angered a number of Floridians who awoke to a loud Amber Alert message broadcast to their smartphones.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says smartphone customers are automatically enrolled to receive various alerts, according to the FDLE.

If you want to opt out of those alerts, smartphone users can go to their "settings" to turn off the alerts, or contact their service providers to opt out of the program.

The FCC created an online
guide for people who want to learn more about the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS).
