JACKSONVILLE, FL -- The Blood Alliance is partnering with SMG and the City of Jacksonville for the 2nd Annual "Go First Coast” Blood Drive.
With the support from Mayor Alvin Brown, the blood drive hopes to attract more than 360 donors to participate. The Blood Alliance is our community’s only blood bank and the only provider of blood to all
Northeast Florida hospitals.
The blood drive will take place Wednesday, August 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Everyone who registers to donate will be entered into a random drawing for Jaguars club seat tickets, and an additional chance to win tickets to the New York Jets game at EverBank Field.
The first 40 people to donate using the double red blood cell collection system will automatically receive a pair of tickets to the Jaguars pre-season game against the Atlanta Falcons on August 30.
This will also provide donors with their first chance to be entered into a random drawing for a 2013 Buick Verano, compliments of Nimnicht Buick/GMC.
Additionally, donors will have the opportunity to randomly win an iPad2.
Plus, all those who register to donate will receive free pizza compliments of Papa John's Pizza while supplies last, and earn double points redeemable in The Blood Alliance's Hero Rewards Store.
