Former corrections officer sentenced in burglary

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A former corrections officer was sentenced to twelve years in prison for armed burglary of a garage belonging to a Lietenant in the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

Aaron Allen Folley received five years each on two counts of grand theft, five years, with a three year minimum, for possesion of a firearm by a convicted felon, and five years for possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. The sentences run concurrently.

Foley was convicted last month. In March 2012, he burglarized the Clay County Lieutenant's garage in Fleming Island. Foley stole a .22 caliber rifle, an all-terrain vehicle, power tools, and hunting items. The stolen goods were worth approximately $10,000.

Foley is a former corrections officer from Charlton County, Georgia.
