Voter concerns grow as election approaches
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Letters about voter history have some Florida residents concerned about voter fraud. We spoke with the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland about these concerns.
American for Limited Government has been sending letters to residents that outline names, addresses and if those people had voted or not in recent elections. The Duval County Elections Office has received several complaints about the letters.
Holland says voting attendance is public record, but who you vote for is kept confidential. If you receive a strange letter not from a government agency, the best thing to do is ignore it.
Holland also says about 27 percent of Duval County has voted early.
