Classes canceled by fire at local charter school
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A fire at Duval Charter School in Arlington forced children to evacuate from their classrooms Monday morning.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue tells Action News they responded to a call at the school around 8 a.m. because of smoke showing in the building. Crews contained the fire and evacuated students and teachers safetly.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue tells Action News all parents were notified of the fire. They are being asked to pick up thier children early. Children not picked up will be taken to the school's baymeadows location.
No one was injured in the fire. JFRD says the fire was started by a printer or copier.
