JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- All northbound lanes of I-95 at Emerson Street are back open after a fatal three-car accident early Wednesday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol reports Jimmy Carracter, 46, of Jacksonville was driving a 1996 Lexus LS 400 southbound in the northbound lanes of I-95.

He struck a 2002 Honda Civic and then a tractor-trailer.

Police say Carracter was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the accident. The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries, but her and her passenger will both be okay. The driver of the tractor-trailer received no injuries.

@PamelaG1066, You never learn by what you have done right! This report is not speaking ill of the dead, just reporting the facts!

I think it is extremely poor taste to make his past mistakes a prominent part of this sad story. Speaking ill of the dead is always wrong.

It is hard for any family to go through something like this, but to see those two little girls left without a dad my heart just sank. I hope the best for the family they will be in my prayers!
