JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two people are behind bars after police say an item they stole ultimately ended up leading to their capture.

Police are crediting iPhone technology with helping them nab a pair of alleged thieves.

"All the eyes on the stove were red hot so that shocked me right away," said Larry Bennett.

Bennett told Action News he knew instantly after arriving home Saturday morning that someone had been inside. Personal belongings were missing from every room of the house. And he says the crooks tried setting his home on fire.

"They took a flat-screen TV, they took my computer, microwave," he said.

He said the thieves didn't just go for top-dollar possessions -- also missing were his embroidered work shirt and toiletries.

But a stolen iPad ended up being Bennett's saving grace. When he realized it was gone too, he picked up his iPhone and, using an app, was able to track the iPad's location.

"It was over at Eureka Gardens," he said.

So with JSO officers in tow, they paid the apartment complex a visit. Police said as soon as they pulled up, Danyrell Floyd, 28, was sitting outside playing on Bennett's iPad.

Bennett said Christopher Deering, 25, then walked out wearing his shirt.

"My heart started pounding super hard and fast. Like, 'Wow there's my stuff,'" Bennett said.

And while most of his stuff is still missing, he's glad a little piece of technology was able to lead police right to the culprits.

"It really helped watching them get handcuffed and taken downtown," he said.

Both suspects are being charged with arson, burglary and dealing in stolen property.

This same disgusting thievery is commonplace at the Port Authority Bus Terminal's Lost & Found Dept. in NYC by PABT Supervisors. Google  “Donna Lebourne abc news" & see the vile face of shame being confronted & exposed.  http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/investigators&id=9105280 Port Authority Supervisor Donna Lebourne has an outside job, she is the Vice President of her & her husband’s charity Caribbean Sports International that donates cellphones & other electronics.  If you lost an item at the Port Authority Bus Terminal and did not get it back, contact her charity, perhaps she may donate your item back to you out of the kindness of her evil heart. It's very easy to be charitable when you are giving away other peoples' property. http://www.corporationwiki.com/New-Jersey/Maplewood/caribbean-sports-international/85267222.aspx The Port Authority allows these crimes by their supervisors & their enablers to go unpunished. The Port Authority also has an illegal policy of throwing lost valid passports found at the PABT in the garbage, for anyone to find & use for their own nefarious purposes. The Port Authority’s illegal passport policy is criminally insane in this age of global terrorism and rampant identity theft, This is an act of treason against the United States of America. The Port Authority has become an imminent threat to national security. Google “Port Authority - passports” & “found, stolen, trashed by PA”  http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/investigators&id=9277998 http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/found_stolen_trashed_by_pa_V4RMICgPyy2bhAVzDkW9EL  No one should be above the law no matter who they are and who they work for.

I had to share this... We Should Put The Elderly In Prison We should put the elderly in prisons because, they will get a shower everyday. Video surveillance in case of problems. Three meals a day, access to a library, computer, TV, gym, Doctors on site, and free medication if needed. Put criminals in nursing homes, and they get, cold meals, lights off at 7pm, two showers a week, live in a smaller room, and pay rent at $4,000 a month. It’s pretty sad when we treat prisoners better than the elderly.

These thieving thugs have a lot of balls don't they? Nasty asses making a living off others all the way around. Free 'entitlements' from King OBama, free food, housing, free 'everything' they can steal from other peoples hard work and free room and board when they get caught in the County Hotel. Gee how proud the women must be that spit them out, while the baby daddies hop from one to the other without a care.
