JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A crowd of more than 250 people began lining up outside the Apple store at St. Johns Town Center at 1 a.m. Friday for the release of the iPhone 5.
Feliz Soleh was the first in line. He purchased two phones, one for him and one for his wife.
"I like to have the latest and greatest. The speed, the weight, the size of the screen, everything, I like it."
Not as many people lined up outside the AT&T store down the street. Customers were in and out of both stores in minutes.
"Didn't take long," said Matthew Jefferies, "but I didn't just come here for the phone. I came here for the experience. I just like being at the Apple store."
Kristian Voges was there for an upgrade.
"See this flip phone? I'm here for obvious reasons!"
The manager of the store wouldn't release how many phones were in stock, but said they are still available.
