JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- According to Triple AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is up to $3.75. Here in Jacksonville, the average is $3.69.
Some drivers think the increase is due to price gouging.
According to Florida's Price Gouging Law, it is illegal to raise gas prices on critical supplies, but only after a state of emergency is declared.
Businesses found violating the law could be fined as much as $10,000.
