JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars have a big game tonight against the Colts, but it's also a night to celebrate our military.
Tonight is the team's annual 'Salute to Service' Military Appreciation Game. The game is dedicated to the men and women who have served and currently are serving the country.
The Jags and several local companies teamed up to donate more than 8,000 game tickets to military members. And throughout the night there are activities planned in honor of military appreciation.
To start off the night, the team will be led out of the tunnel by sailors and marines from Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. At halftime, an induction ceremony with more than 200 recruits from all branches will take place. A former contestant on "The Voice" and a member of the Air National Guard, Angie Johnson, will perform God Bless America. During the game, wounded warriors from the Jacksonville Wounded Warrior Project will be recognized on field. And a special guest from the U.S. Army 1st Ranger Battalion will ring the Jaguars Bell as the game enters the 4th quarter.
Also tonight each player's helmet will feature a decal representing a branch of the military. Kickoff is at 8:20 p.m.
