JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Anyone who donated $1,000 to the North Florida Council Boy Scouts of America got the opportunity to rappel the side of EverBank Center.

So if you're downtown today and see people scaling the building, don't be alarmed.

It is perfect weather for climbing down the side for the Boy Scouts. When Judy Ford's son was 8, she told her Bishop she wanted the church to start a troupe.

"He said, 'That's wonderful. You're the new den leader.' And that was 35 years ago and I'm still in," she said.

Her son is now a scoutmaster. Judy raised $3,000 to scale EverBank Center, and she had a very special reason to do it.

"My grandson, Colson Ford in Greensboro, NC, just received his Eagle and I am so proud of him."

If you want to repel next year, you can start planning for it now. Just visit http://overtheedge-nfc.com.
