JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Students at Frank H. Peterson Academies of Technology will receive a unique lesson in flight using a hot air balloon Thursday.

The school has an aviations program that focuses on pilot technology, aviation maintenance and air traffic control.  RE/MAX is offering the use of it's hot air balloon at no charge, for a lesson in flight to test student's skills.

Several first-year aerospace students will examine how the basket is constructed, burner/engine is started, and envelope/balloon expands. They will then soar approximately 20-feet into the air.

The event begins at 7:30 AM.
