Local Red Cross volunteers go North to help Sandy survivors
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Northeast Chapter of the Red Cross is gearing up to help out the Northeast in the wake of Sandy.
Two volunteers along with an emergency response vehicle will leave for New Jersey at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. We spoke with the regional CEO Jack Morgan who said that the organization's resources will be spread very thin because of the number of states affected by the storm.
So far eight states are impacted by Sandy's historic wind and rain, making it a challenge for Red Cross aid to get to all those who need it.
